What is RETIPLUS®?
RETIPLUS® is an intelligent visual aid that improves the autonomy and the quality of life of people with severe low vision pathologies.
Using transparent Augmented Reality electronic glasses (SmartGlasses), RETIPLUS® allows the eye specialist to customize and to maintain several “help views” for different activities according to each visual condition, including walking in public spaces.
The SmartGlasses have a camera that captures what the user has in front of her/him, the software processes these images calibrated by the specialist, and presents them in real time within the screens of the Smartglasses on the optimal area for the patient. This is what we call the “RETIPLUS digital eye test”.
The “RETIPLUS® digital eye test” to optimize the “remaining vision” of the patient must be carried out by RETIPLUS® Certified optometrists (RCOs).
RETIPLUS SYSTEM is based on the patents of invention registered under ES2542804 (Spain) and US2017/0038607 (USA), with SW algorithms registered in the United States Copyright Office (USCO). Its efficiency is validated by a clinical trial by Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM).
